Theresa is a bilingual Speech-Language Pathologist who obtained her Masters of Science in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of Alberta.

Her experience working with children is extensive and spans all ages and abilities in various settings including private practice, daycares, preschools, schools, and clinics. Over this decade of working with children, Theresa came to value the importance of early intervention but recognized the barriers and limitations of accessing speech services in the public system. Speech Bear began with the mission of making speech therapy services accessible to families in the Calgary area and empowering families to reach their communication goals.

Theresa is dedicated to helping children meet their full potential through play-based therapy approaches and believes in working closely with families to create carefully individualized therapy plans which are fun, effective, and meaningful.
